“Well it is not my fault Diesel is asleep and i have to expirement by my self Caulder” wipes a bit of soot off their face “Welcome to Oasis friend. You are in for a Hell of a time”January 28, 2019 at 6:29 am #23538
“I can already see that.” Very little time had been spent here and he’d already experienced a good little deal. Surely spending time here would prove to be a far more interesting life than he’d had up to this point.January 28, 2019 at 7:02 am #23547
” Well all right then, lets all go have a drink and get cleaned up. I got a bottle of blue mountain whiskey that needs sampling and maybe even a little spot of Madrak wine if anyone is feeling festive.” With that the man turns back to the tavern, as he moves you see his duster shift enough to show you twin pistols in holsters on his hips.January 28, 2019 at 8:57 am #23560
Glancing to all the others in the little group, gaze lingering on Flash a little longer to see if it was really okay given the fact he was the one that brought him in, he went to follow after Dusk. His black striped tail was held slightly higher and swished behind him as he walked. Food and drink is higher on his wants than cleaning up so hopefully whoever ran the tavern wouldn’t get unhappy with hin for being rather dirty.January 28, 2019 at 6:30 pm #23633
“To the hospitality of our beleaguered guest, then,” Doctor Caulder mutters before following behind the group to the tavern. He speaks words that might be understood as directed toward the felinae.
“I hope that you brought your wits about you, for sanity is in short supply here.”

The interior of the tavern is plain but functional with sleeping arrangements on either side behind walls and a central table or two with a bar on the back and small kitchen. Dusk appears to move around as though he owns the place or at least has a lot of familiarity with the bar. ” Been storing these here for a bit, figured we should bring um out now anyway. Bounty Hunting gives you a lot of time to make connections in places far apart and I happen to have a knack for finding the booze makers in all the best places.” he pours out some drinks into small glasses.January 30, 2019 at 8:13 pm #23961
A slightly unkempt Elf sits in the corner of the tavern, the many pockets in his coat running over with papers, strange components and vials of various liquids. To one side of him on the table is a large one handed blade that smokes slightly.
On the table in front of the elf is what appears to be a live grenade in the center of a chalk outline of various arcane symbols and even more vials of a thick liquid. The elf appears to be singing softly to himself and writing hastily in a journal.January 31, 2019 at 1:16 am #23982
“That’s oddly foreboding…” Kei mumbled under his breath in reply to the words spoken by the man in the doctors coat. Nobody, other than maybe the guy who’d blown something up, seemed to be unhinged any any way and even Steam seemed like a good and kind enough guy. He was welcoming at least.
Taking one of the glasses the Felinae gave his thanks and took a sip of the whisky. The burn was a mostly unfamiliar one as drinking was never much his thing but the warmth of it was helpful. Maybe it could even help his aches once he had enough, though the idea wasn’t to appealing. He was still in a new land and though everyone seemed friendly it was far better to be safe than sorry. That tale Flash had told him made him a little more weary than he would have been if he’d stayed unaware of it.
“So you’re a bounty hunter then.” It was more of a statement than a question directed at Dusk. “Can’t say I’ve meet many of them. Well I haven’t really met many of anyone other than some of the other Meru tribes..” He gave a little shrug and took another sip of the drink.
“It’s pretty good by the way.” Kei gave a small lift of his glass to indicate what he was talking about. “I’m in no way well versed in this type of stuff but it’s not repulsive as some other brews that I’ve had have been.”

Dusk tips his hat to the newcomer. “Thank you kindly. Reckon they don’t use bounty hunters much in your tribe. I find I typically only hunt for humans, elves, and whatever flavor the brigands are these days. Most of the more insular societies tend to handle their own. So what brings you the town of Oasis?”February 1, 2019 at 2:38 am #24153
Seeing Dusk sit down, the Elf will whistle sharply before flinging a vial marked “Happy juice” at Dusks head and then return to his writing and singingFebruary 1, 2019 at 4:06 am #24174
With a nod Kei speaks. “Correct. Bounty hunters not only don’t seem to really come high into the mountains looking for work but we have little need for them. Don’t get me wrong, we still have our troubles with others; however, we like to deal with it more ourselves. It’s not as if we lack the skill to hunt them so.” He gives a small shrug.
“Not to mention most of my people are not overly social outside of ourselves. I suppose I’m a little odd in that respect.” There was a look of contemplation upon his face as Kei said this. “I don’t think many of them would have accepted this situation as readily as I have…” There was another shrug. “It matters little overall I suppose.”
At the question of what brings him here his ears drop a little. “Nothing good if I’m being honest. I was traveling with my clan when the ground just sort of fell out from under me. There was an active blizzard so it just wasn’t really stable I suppose.” He gives a little sigh, his disappointment in himself showing on his face that he hadn’t been able to spot the unsteady snow. “I must have hit my head on something on the way down because I woke I don’t even know how much later covered in snow and feeling worse for wear. I got lucky though.” There was a little smile from him. “Nothin’ broke on the way down, not even my bow.” Kei gave a small jerk of his head to the bow still upon his back.
“I’m certain I’m rather covered in bruises at this point though. I haven’t really checked but most everything aches to some extent.” The Felinae shook his head a little. “I’m getting off track though. I’m still rather young and am in no way our top tracker and was unable to find any sort of trail to follow back to anywhere of familiarity so I just started wandering. There was no way to go back up the mountainside so there was little else I could do. If I’d just stayed in place I most likely would of simply frozen. My fur can only keep away the cold for so long and at that point I was rather soaked from laying in it.”
“I’m not really sure how long I was walking but I stumbled upon an odd portal. I felt I had very little chance as it was so I just sort of leapt through and hoped for the best, and thankfully I got lucky. Got dumped out a little ways out from here and just started wandering closer following the scent of the place until Flash and Venom found me.”
At the sound of the sharp whistle the black tipped ears of the Felinae pinned down to his head and he turned towards the source just in time to see a vial flying through the air towards Dusk. Thankfully he wasn’t in the way of the trajectory but he still looked back at the Elf who’d thrown the thing. “Thank can’t be to safe…” Kei muttered quietly at seeing the grenade within the center of the chalk symbols.February 1, 2019 at 7:07 am #24191
Flash followed the Kei quietly, keeping eyes on the smaller figure. Remaining quiet he simply sat next to the smaller Felinae and stared off to the side. He sat there simply listening to the others.February 3, 2019 at 11:02 pm #24642
Dusk catches the vial with his left and pockets it for the time being. ” Thanks Harp. I always appreciate a little something extra for my brews. Fortunately there is no real shortage of bounties to be found in this area so long as you are registered for it. I need to update my bounty hunting license for this area but since I have the wastelands designation I am allowed to seek out bounties in those long stretches of no man’s land about. Also got a permit for Oasis though I need to check and make sure that is still good.”February 4, 2019 at 4:57 am #24656
Kei tilts his head the slightest bit, one ear flopping a little and his furrows his brows slightly. Overall it was a look of curiosity with the smallest bit of confusion. “You need to have a license to be a bounty hunter? Odd…”Black stripped tail swishes slightly, messy fur lightly touching Flash’s leg. A little sign of thanks for sticking with him even when he could have simply gone off to do his own thing once the Felinae had been introduced to new people.
“I though it was just sort of a thing where anyone could hunt people down if there was a need for it.” There’s a light huff from the short cat. “I really need to learn the rules of this place. Until someone of my clan makes it here, if they ever do,” the second little part of that was spoken quieter, “I’ll probably be staying here. I’m really not made for, or used to, being on my own.”February 4, 2019 at 5:55 am #24673
Dusk smiles at the young Felinae. ” used to be that way but then everything got legitimized. Too many people calling themselves bounty hunters actually being assassins or petty thugs. We have to get approval from the government of an area. Check in to the network and get official paperwork on our targets.” Dusk reaches into his pocket and produces a card emblazoned with “Bounty Hunter Network” on one side and his description and legal bounty areas on the other.
